Epic Games Email Verification: Temporary Inbox Guide

Epic Games asks you to verify the email on your account with a message containing a Verify your email button. A temporary inbox shows you when it arrives while you try a free game or the launcher.

Before you begin

Open Tempgmail.io and copy the address displayed at the top of the tool. A public address lasts 10 minutes; the timer can extend it. The inbox is shared and should be used only for a disposable test. Check whether Epic Games accepts the address in your specific flow: acceptance can vary and is never guaranteed.

What the inbox looks like

  1. Enter the temporary address in the Epic Games email field for your test.
  2. Return to the Tempgmail.io tab and watch the inbox. Messages are checked automatically; use Refresh if needed.
  3. Open the expected message and copy its code or follow its verification link within the time limit. The displayed 123 456 in our illustration is a fictional sample, never a real code.

Epic Games details

Epic’s help pages say an unverified account shows a yellow notice with a link to resend the message. Genuine mail comes from epicgames.com domains such as accts.epicgames.com, and a sending error usually clears within a few minutes. Epic can also send two-factor codes by email later. The exact screens and delivery timing can change, so use the service’s current on-screen instructions and Epic Games help on verifying your email when a step differs.

When to switch to your own email

Your Epic account holds your library, Fortnite progress and V-Bucks. If you plan to keep playing or have claimed free games you want to keep, move the account to an email you control before the temporary session ends.

If you decide to keep the account, change its contact email while you still have access to the account and confirm the new address. Do this before the temporary address expires. Tempgmail.io cannot recover a third-party account or resend an old message after its address ends.
