Temp Mail Gmail: How to Receive a Test Email

Looking for “temp mail Gmail” or “Gmail temp”? On Tempgmail.io, you can receive a message through a public, short-lived Gmail address. Follow one complete test, from copying the address to deciding what to do before the timer ends. You do not receive ownership of a new Google account.

Check the address before starting

Open the inbox using the button above. Use the address shown by the live tool, rather than an address from a blog illustration. Public sessions start with ten minutes. The countdown shows the time remaining for your current session.

Keep the inbox tab open while completing your task. Another visitor may share the underlying mailbox, and messages sent to the original Gmail address can appear too. A different-looking alias does not make this a private inbox.

Receive one email, step by step

1. Copy the full address with Copy, including @gmail.com.
2. Paste it into the email field of a test you are allowed to perform. Check the spelling before requesting the message.
3. Return to Tempgmail.io. Wait for automatic updates or use Refresh if the expected message has not appeared.
4. Open the expected message. Compare its sender and purpose with the action you just took; unrelated messages in a shared inbox are not yours to use.
5. If a verification code is detected, tap it to copy it. Use the newest requested code before the sender’s expiry time, which can differ from the inbox timer.

Why changing dots does not create a separate account

For personal @gmail.com addresses, dotted versions of the same username reach one mailbox. Work or school domains can behave differently.

Tempgmail.io distributes address variants from an account pool. A variant is a receiving address for your session, not a Google login, a new Gmail password or exclusive access. Do not edit dots yourself to try to obtain a private mailbox.

If the message does not arrive

• Check that you pasted the current address and requested the message after opening this session.
• Give the sender time to deliver. Repeated requests may trigger its cooldown or invalidate earlier codes.
• Check that the inbox countdown has not expired. If it has, restart a disposable test with the new address.
• If a form rejects the address, use one it accepts. A Gmail domain does not guarantee acceptance or delivery.
• If the inbox cannot refresh, try again later or contact support with a text description. Leave out passwords and codes.

Requesting a new address does not transfer old messages or extend a code already sent to the old address.

Finish the task before leaving

For a throwaway test, copy only what you need and end the session when finished. Closing a tab does not delete the underlying Gmail account or make an already shared message private.

If you decide to keep the account you tested, replace its contact email with one you personally control and confirm the change while you still have access. Use a private mailbox for purchases, recovery messages, work or anything sensitive. Tempgmail.io is independent of Google.
