Runway Free Credits: Get 125 Credits With a Temporary Email

Runway’s Free plan includes 125 one-time credits for trying its AI video and image tools. Email sign-up uses an 8-digit verification code, which a temporary inbox can receive. Those credits do not refill, so plan your test before you spend them.

Create your account

1. Open tempgmail.io, copy the current address and keep the tab open.
2. On runwayml.com, choose to sign up with email rather than Google or Apple.
3. Enter the address, a username, a strong password and your name.
4. Return to the inbox, open the Runway message and enter the 8-digit code. Runway gives you one hour, but your temporary session may end sooner.
5. Check that the credit balance appears in your account.

What 125 credits buy

The credits are one-time and do not expire, and the Free plan also has 5 GB of asset storage and a selection of models. Each model and video length costs a different amount. At 12 credits per second, for example, 125 credits gives about 10 seconds of video, so a couple of short clips can use the whole balance.

Start with an image or a short clip, check the cost shown before you generate, and download results you want to keep. The available models change, so check the current list in your account.

Move the account to your own email

If Runway is worth keeping, change the address before your temporary session ends. Click your profile icon, go to Account Profile, choose Change Email, re-enter your password and enter an address you control.

This matters because password resets and account messages go to the registered address, and a public temporary address can be shared with other visitors.

One account per person

Runway’s terms say you may not have more than one account per platform at a time. Its help centre also says free credits are not issued if an account or network is associated with fraudulent activity. A new email is not a way to get a fresh 125 credits. When your balance is used up, the route Runway offers is a paid plan.

If the code does not arrive

Compare the address on the form with the one in the tool, refresh the inbox and check the timer. Runway suggests registering with a different email or contacting Support if no code arrives, and your own mailbox is the most reliable option.
