Temp Mail Not Receiving Verification Emails? What to Check

An empty temporary inbox does not tell you whether an email is delayed, rejected or never sent. Start with the address and the session, then check the sender. This guide separates a missing message from a code that arrived but no longer works.

Check these five things in order

  1. Copy the current address from the live inbox and compare it with the address on the sending website. Remove accidental spaces; do not use a sample address from an illustration.
  2. Confirm that you requested the email after opening this inbox session. A new address does not retrieve messages sent to an earlier session.
  3. Check the countdown. Public Tempgmail.io sessions start with ten minutes; an email code has its own expiry set by the sender.
  4. Return to the inbox and use Refresh. If an error appears, note it before requesting more messages.
  5. Wait for the sending website’s stated resend interval. Request one replacement only after that interval, then use the newest code from your own request.

Match the symptom to the next step

Where spam and filtering fit

Tempgmail.io reads the underlying Gmail Inbox and Spam folders, but applies its own message window and sender restrictions. It is not a complete view of Gmail history. Changing Gmail filters is not available through the public tool.

If you are using your own Gmail account instead, Google recommends searching across Mail, Spam and Trash and reviewing filters. Those account-owner steps are different from refreshing a temporary session.

When the email arrives but the code fails

Check which action the message belongs to. Requesting a replacement can make an earlier code unusable; follow the sending service’s instructions. Extending the inbox timer cannot extend the sender’s code validity.

A public mailbox may be shared with other visitors. Use only the message matching your request and expected sender. A code visible in the inbox is not proof that it belongs to you.

A useful delivery test for your own website

Send a fictional, non-sensitive test message to the current address. Record the request time, recipient, subject and any sender-side delivery or bounce status. If that message arrives but the verification email does not, you have evidence to investigate the verification sender; this does not prove every inbox or sender is working.

When contacting support, describe the error and approximate time. Do not include passwords, codes, private message contents or your inbox token.

When to switch to a mailbox you control

If the website requires a lasting or private address, use one you own. Repeated resends or changing dots cannot guarantee acceptance. For an account you intend to keep, confirm your own recovery address before the temporary session expires.
